Frostburg State University has provided paths to success for students for more than 100 years. Situated in the mountains
of Allegany County, FSU is the premier four-year USM institution west of the Baltimore-Washington area.
A comprehensive regional university, FSU also serves as an educational and cultural center for the Western Maryland
region and plays a vital role in regional economic development initiatives. Strong programs in liberal arts and
sciences, business, education, and environmental studies, as well as nationally acclaimed
community service programs, draw students from around the world at both the undergraduate and graduate levels.
A low student-faculty ratio creates a learner-centered environment.
