Adelphi, Md. (Nov. 6, 2013) -- William E. Kirwan, chancellor of the University System of Maryland (USM), today announced the appointment of the search and screening committee for the president of the University of Baltimore (UB), one of the university system's 12 institutions.

Robert L. Bogomolny announced in September that he will step down as president of UB at the end of the academic year.

The chair of the search and screening committee is Marie Van Deusen '89, a senior vice president with Morgan Stanley Smith Barney and longtime member of the UB Foundation Board of Directors.

The other members of the committee are:

Kirwan anticipates that the search process will be completed within six months. The committee's work will conclude with its recommendation of finalists for consideration by the chancellor and the USM Board of Regents. The board will make the final selection.

"President Bogomolny has left a legacy that will make a strong, positive difference in the years ahead both for the University of Baltimore and in the city of Baltimore itself," Kirwan said. "I am very pleased with the breadth of experience of the search committee members and their dedicated commitment to the university."
