USM Board of Regents to Hold Special Meeting November 11

6, 2009) -
The University System of Maryland (USM) Board of Regents will hold a special
meeting at 2 p.m. Wednesday, November 11 on the second floor of the University
of Maryland University College (UMUC) Inn and Conference Center .
The
regents will take action regarding a policy on use of campus facilities for
films shown purely for entertainment purposes and a resolution regarding UMUC.
The
resolution regarding UMUC concerns a recent decision by the Maryland Higher
Education Commission that gives UMUC permission to offer its doctoral online
concentration in community college administration only to residents outside of
Maryland.
After
the public meeting, the board will meet in executive session.
