*The overall rate increase has two components which drive it above the 4% benchmark. The first is the inclusion of
an unlimited laundry service for on-campus residents. In the past students have had to pay for each load of clothes washed
and/or dried. Based on current usage, SU student's average $40 per year (about a 1% increase in rate) for laundry.
The second component is the large demand for these single rooms. The University is not able to accommodate all requests
for single rooms, which means the price is significantly below the market price. As such, the University is seeking an
additional 1% premium.

***In order to regulate parking on the main campus, Salisbury is reviewing the available parking on campus
and developing alternative off-campus locations. Once the parking spaces lost due to construction of the TETC
have been re-established, the University will implement a new fee schedule based on type of permit and location
of the parking space. |
